My dad told me today his cancer medicine will cost him 800 out of pocket. I sighed and said it’d be nice if we had universal healthcare so people didn’t have to go into crippling debt for this stuff. He started ranting that poor people get free healthcare and in Canada they would just euthanize him. I said “have a good day” and walked out. There is literally no arguing with someone who is old enough that they no longer care to change their opinion.
