    1. Fever is a mixed bag for me. When it’s around 37 degrees, I feel chilly and tired. When it’s 39 or so, I feel burning, achey and hyper.

    2. Every man turns into a Shakespearean tragedy as soon as the thermometer hits 100°F 😭😂

    3. Funny how we have spent decades trying to get men to take care of themselves and then once they do we shame them for doing exactly what they should be doing

There’s a scientific reasoning men feel sicker than women. Has something to do with estrogen that women naturally produce which allows them to cope with the illness better. Don’t quote me, it was a YouTube short that I scrolled through.

I will be going into isolation in my room. Please leave a bag of reeses pieces at the door so I keep up my remaining strength.

    6. Physical defense doen’t work againt status ailments. Gotta focus your build on working around them, whether preventing them or using them to your advantage

    7. Isn’t it because they just tank it when it is a weak illness but can’t when it is very strong ?

I know I’m like that, going to work anyway unless I should be on a death bed.

Me when I have a gout flare that literally cripples me to a cane or wheelchair: don’t help me! I can do everything myself! I’m still independent!

Me when I catch a cold: I’m dead, I’m gone, reduced to atoms. Leave me. My final wish is to wither into nothingness. Let the ether claim my flesh.

Be careful, r/comedycemetary will find this and say its horribly sexist and offensive

I will be honest, after having grown up in a house with 4 women (my mom and 3 sisters) and being married for 7 years, I think that women just don’t get sick as much as men because my mom and my wife can dodge sickness like Neo dodging bullets 95% of the time, even if all our kids are sick. My mom was the same. But when they get sick…hooo boy, they live up to this meme too.

    11. r/pointlesslygendered what does this have to do with identifying as male? Fevers are often accompanied by a lot of shit that takes you out for the count.

    12. Outside pain has a cause and we can see it. Inside pain feels so mysterious and it doesn’t make sense and it shouldn’t hurt this much, holy crap someone chop off my arm it would feel better than this god damned fever. We cant punch internal threats

I literally got to work 6 days before going to the doctor with what I thought was a strain in my back, then spent 6 days at the hospital with a punctured lung.

39°c in fever, and I’m laying down!
