    1. This is great. The only way these scumbags will do the right thing is if they’re guilt tripped into it.

My religious parents are convinced that the government shouldn’t be paying for social programs because that’s what the church is for. It never occurs to them that the government does it because churches dont

    3. Well…not all Christians are the enemy…seems a certain type of Christian was willing to help…

    4. Pretty much every religion there is teaches that kindness and generosity and compassion are good values. As they should.

Stinginess and cruelty are not desirable values in any religion I’ve ever heard of.

    5. Is it coincidence that religion in general is an old method of having populace police themselves over imaginary fates – and is this context of “USA” Christian small/mega church televangelist institutions are exempt from taxes? Yea, no.

    6. There is a Mosque close to where I live, and they are constantly doing events for the wider community. They did an amazing event over summer to raise awareness and funds to support food banks in the local area, which are predominantly used by working class white British families. The deal was bring something you want to donate cash, tinned food, nappies, baby milk and you could take home some delicious food prepared for the event. We took a bag of food and some baby supplies, the donations were piling up. There were faith leaders there representing multiple faiths and as a none religious person I found it to be quite overwhelming to see such an act of kindness. Also the freshly prepared food was amazing.

How many Synagogues offered help, I wonder?
