You can’t tell me what to do. Will always be a 2-spacer as is tradition.

Team two space, right here.

I was so happy when I learned this. I converted to one space.

You will never pry the double space, or the Oxford comma, from my wrinkled hands.

Hard habit to break, and I would rather be consistent, so I stick with two spaces.

It was for early word processors too because they were monospaced.

You can take my double space from my cold, dead thumbs.

I don’t have to, I want to.

It’s not just about “typewriters”. Two spaces makes it more clear whether an abbreviation is also the end of the sentence.

I hit two spaces because muscle memory. A whole semester of the meanest teacher in my high school drilling that into you just makes you do it. It doesn’t matter if I do or don’t so leave me alone.

Husband 54, does this. I, 45, do not.

I learned to type 2 spaces in a typing class taught … on a computer.

Have you tried three spaces? It feels luxurious.

Unfortunately, my keyboard turns the double space into a period and one space. Thanks, Obama.

I had someone give me a hard time over this, telling me to stop and they dont teach it in school only for typewriters. When I was in school they taught this for computers as I’ve never used a type writer except poking a few buttons on one from an aunts house.
I like the double space, it helps separate sentences more which is easier to read for me. Also, texting on my phone auto double spaces.

I’m a word processor for a law firm. The firm’s standard is two spaces between sentences and after colons. I am also a boomer, a young one, but still a boomer, and I took typing in high school. It’s muscle memory. I even do the two spaces in texts. I would rather use acronyms and other shortcuts than drop spaces to make texts fit the character limits.

So you want me to stop what’s become an unconscious thing that I do by habit? Good luck getting me to not do that. FFS
