Fun fact: madame tussaud got her start making death masks (a face cast upon death) of Marie Antoinette and others during the French revolution.
Edit: looks like she got her start even years before the revolution!
Shouldn’t the date be for when this photo of the wax statue was taken, not for her execution? This caption is seriously misleading.

Marie-Antoinette was so impopular, I can’t imagine a death mask has been done after her death. I think her body has been buried with her head as soon as the execution done. Even the mass grave qeee she has been buried stayed unamed.
