Damn, I always forget that individual bus drivers are the ones who get to set public policy for the entire transit system.

I don’t know if I believe he’ll get that done. But who is dumber? The people who voted for something and didn’t get it? Or the people who voted for something, got it, then hated it because it sucked for them too?

    3. I do have a feeling that free buses won’t happen anytime soon though… Seems to good to be true

    4. Fares are already 90 percent subsidized. My agency might be tiny but we’ve already done “free” programs that were a month long to build ridership.

This is so much less dramatic of a thing than these people think 🙄

Why wouldn’t someone be pro free public transportation? It sounds pretty good to me. Where I live PT pretty much costs me, the first 30 minutes of a work day, just paying to get to work and back.

3 days till all the wars end and all the prices come down. And we’re gonna release the Epstein files. They are the ones who got suckered.

    7. This from the side that thought Haitians were eating cats, that tariffs are a tax cut for Americans, that the National Weather Service was overstaffed during the Texas floods, that Trump is paying for the ballroom, that Trump is losing money being the president, that Charlie Kirk wasn’t a racist pos, that the democrats have a weather control machine, that Trump has nothing to do with Epstein

My city had free buses on main routes for tourism for about a decade and did fine.

We’d still have them but uber and other methods like the lime scooters started becoming more popular so now the free buses are no more. But our buses are only like dollar a ride.

    9. Says the people that thought deflation was the solution to inflation then voted and are now getting more inflation.

    10. What I find interesting is how easily people are duped by politicians in general. It should not tak eyou long as an adult to realize how this works.

Politician CREATES a problem with bad policies. Election time comes around and that same politician will promise to “fix” the problem. They will never tell you that THEY created the problem to begin with and have no intention of really fixing it.

Example – Minimum Wage. If Politicians on either side really wanted a Minimum Wage that kept up with Inflation, they would have passed a Minimum Wage Bill like some states have that raises Minimum Wage automatically every year to match the current inflation increase / rate. Want to know why they will NEVER do do that? If they solved that issue, they would never be able to use that as a bargaining tool or election promise. Keeping it a PROBLEM just helps them win elections.

Mamdani won an election on the age old “I will promise everything for free”. People bought it. he is now in power and trust me, he WILL create more problems. Next election cycle he will be promising to fix most of the problems he created. Just watch. The sad part? People will buy it hook, line and sinker.

    11. So…. this “lied to again” of which you speak.

Are we talking, “I’ll end the Ukraine-Russia war on day one?” level?

Or “I won’t be playing golf while I’m President”

Or “They’re eating the cats and dogs”

Or “I’ll have a healthcare plan to replace Obamacare in two weeks”

Or ” I’ve ended 8 wars around the world”

Or “your grocery prices will go down”.

What kinda lying are we talking about here? Just for context.

These are the same morons that blamed Obama for the 2008 financial crash.

He was sworn in on Jan 20, 2009.

Stupid is part of their DNA at this point.
