Nubian Crown from Ballana, Fourth Century A.D. Interesting mix of late antique and ancient Egyptian styles. [1257×1692]

Dug up when the Aswan Dam was made. Late pre-Christian. Weird crossover of the aesthetics of early medieval crowns, heavy, kind of architectural looking, with smooth polished gems (and imo kind of ugly), and full-on Ancient Egyptian animal heads and cobras.
