The statue was commissioned by Emperor Constantine I around 312-315 AD to celebrate his victory over Maxentius at the Battle of Milvian Bridge.
Originally, the statue stood in the Basilica of Maxentius in the Roman Forum and would have measured over 40 feet (12 meters) in height.
Now located in the Capitoline Museum in Rome.

I’ve seen the head before, how big was this thing again? What happened to the rest of it? Are there any other pieces anywhere else?
