    1. To be clear – the modern G-Wagon is not what it used to be. These used to just be off-road vehicles for the military that they also sold to the public. So it’s not like these people are touring the world in a $120k luxury vehicle

    2. Met this guy in Edmonton, AB at a gas station in like 2000. Saw the G-wagon with german plates and a bunch of supplies on the roof rack parked at the next pump and made small talk, he told me he was travelling around the world with his wife. Cool to see he made it.

I really hate cars, but this is one of the very few reasons I might approve getting one.

    4. Thats too much for me. But i applaud them for being able to do that. I would need a tour bus for something like that.

Watch others live the life I want is very inspiring. I know it’s possible and I get there too

    6. This seems like the best use of wealth. If I had so much money that I never had to work and I could travel I would do the same but probably on a motorcycle

    7. What an amazing weekend of stories that would be. Coffee, good food, and incredible stories.

    8. Please for the love of god, do not feed wild animals. It makes them aggressive towards everybody as they try and bully you to get food. Many animals have to get put down before, and often after, they seriously hurt someone. Monkeys are particular bad because they’re strong, have HUGE nasty teeth, and carry a shit load of diseases.

    9. Interacting with monkeys can be magic but no way I’d let baboons get that close.

Also, did Idi Amin invite them over to eat one of his political rivals with him?

It’s cool, but do we really have to drive onto living ecosystems to prove we’re “cool”?

Ofc someone of my people lmaooo. Great to see his journey. But I bet he got more pictures lol

    12. Was it 20 years nonstop being on the road? Or did they have time off where they returned home for a few weeks?

Here’s me. Same town. Same faces. Same shit weather. Working on my own business in a country sucking me dry, trying to get ahead to be pulled back just enough each time. Fell into the rat race. Succumb to the numbness of busy. Whilst the world has its wonders, I sit and wonder
