We didn't create the language, we don't have a national language, AND our people objectively suck at English compared to the societies that contributed to its creation. Some of Europe speaks English as a second language with far more mastery than Americans generally do as our first and only language.
Republican nationalism literally draws attention to how poorly educated our people are.
