      ah price caps.

in 302 AD, Roman Emperor Diocletian put price controls on all good ranging from veterinarian care (6 denarii) the cost of beans (100 Denarii per modius, around 15 pounds) even how much a writer could charge ( 25 denarii per 100 lines of text)

it worked! as in, stores totally stopped selling products, workers stopped providing labor, farmers stopped selling goods at the market, and overnight black markets opened up all across the empire.

it got so bad, even the government was refusing to help the military unless the military make bribe payments to the treasury workers holding the military’s payroll

lasted about 5 years. by 307 AD the new Emperor immediately reversed the Edict, but the damage was so bad, Rome started returning land stolen by the government from Christians, just so the Christians could pay taxes.

6 years later, Rome switched to religious tolerance, just to allow the Muslims to own property to tax them.

    2. This is a big problem with Democrat’s right now. They think maga has integrity. Stop that, they don’t mean what they say. What they say has no value. They’re saying something to try and achieve their goal of getting power. It’s all a game for power and they’ll take advantage of any chance they get
