I can’t help but feel that a truly forward thinking government would have harnessed the ever-burning fire that is Portland to generate electricity for the rest of the Pacific Northwest.

Just visited Portland for the first time the day before yesterday, and I have to say it is the first time I’ve ever enjoyed being in a major city!
The insurrectionists must have been in another part of town I guess, because all I saw was friendly people and a beautiful city. Or maybe Trump is a giant orange sack of shit.
Also, I just gotta say how impressed I was with the TriMet system. Coming from somewhere with zero public transport, it was very accessible to a yokel like myself and all the TriMet staff were super friendly and helpful

I live here. It’s fine. Or, it *was* fine. Literally, before he sent in his brown shirts, there were literally five to ten people everyday in front of the ICEsis facility. Now? There’s more but they still are peaceful. The demonstrators are being violently attacked and disappeared but it still remains peaceful from the Americans who are standing there. We now have military helicopters flying all night, every night, over downtown, allowing no rest for people who need to sleep. They are gassing the area, letting dangerous chemicals flow into schools, apartments, etc. The local police are sympathetic but have told citizens they are instructed to not interfere.
We are truly being terrorized by people who are supposed to represent us. Trump is choosing to not be our president. It’s fucking scary and sad.

If Portland is this bad ask yourself: why are zero national or international news networks in Portland with protective gear reporting live? The footage I would guess most are showing is from the protests after George Floyd. Deceptive stuff. Where is Cooper Anderson live? Fox News? BBC? NBC? ABC? CBS? CBC? Hell: where are Newsmax and OAN? You’d think if it was so bad they would be all over it. Right Wing and Left Wing should be feasting off of this. So maybe…..just maybe this is a no story and bringing the National Guard to Portland is a massive overstep and should be the real story? Also I believe the judge who ruled on the legality of the deployment was a Trump appointed judge. Can anyone verify that?
