I thought there was going to be so much winning when the GOP controlled both houses and the presidency but for some reason they can’t even fund the government.

Anything bad, is never their fault. Anything good, whether they had something to do with it or not, is all them.

People don’t understand that Trump wants a shutdown.
Democrats stopped one last time and everyone blasted Schumer for “caving in for republicans”, but he really just prevented Trump from getting what he wanted sooner.

The GOP crafted an entire book of plans, Project 2025.
But they can’t craft a simple yearly budget in time. The House holds the purse strings of the U.S. The House approves all budgets. It’s literally in the Constitution.
The GOP has controlled the House for the past 2.75 years. And they have nothing.
In 1994 the U.S. debt was $4.7 Trillion dollars. The GOP was freaking out and won the House for the first time in 40 years. When Newt Gingrichs Republican Revolution took over in 1995 they promised to reign in the debt and balance budgets.
Since 1995 the GOP has controlled the House for 22.75 of the past 30 years. The debt has skyrocketed. Trump added $8 trillion in his first 4 years. More than the $4.7 trillion in debt we had in 1994. More than Obama added in 8 years combined.
In the last 25 years since Bush became President, the GOP has offered nothing but bloated budgets when a Republican is President, and Continuing Resolutions and Government shutdowns when Democrats are President.
gotta admit, thought this would’ve been a slam dunk 4 him. Ended up a facepalm on repeat, smh. Tbf tho, might have jus been too overhyped frm the jump

I think dems should make their own budget bill with our priorities in there, present it and say that no republicans are willing to help pass the people’s budget.
