    1. Charlie was blaming his racism on liberal policies. He was claiming that the only reason he assumed black people were unqualified was because of affirmative action.

The argument doesn’t really make sense, because affirmative action only applies to qualified people.

    2. They were among the top bomber escort units in the AAF. They lost significantly less bombers than the overwhelming majority of other bomber escort units.

CK’s claim to fame was sowing decisiveness.

It’s obvious which of the two should be recognized as real heroes.

    3. OK, as a white guy, I have to take this opportunity to confess something. I used to travel a lot for work and EVERYTIME I saw a Black pilot, the same three words ran through my head: “There’s the pilot.”

    4. He claimed that he would be scared to fly in a plane with a black pilot, because he wouldn’t know if the black pilot was qualified or if he had been hired because of DEI.

This is classic Charlie Kirk. First of all, he perpetuates racism against blacks by choosing to make the theoretical pilot black, even though statistically the #1 one beneficiary of DEI initiatives has been white women. But of course Charlie Kirk wanted to win over white women, so he didn’t want to insult them by suggesting that they would not be good at flying planes.

Secondly, this perpetuates a brazen lie about DEI, which is that a billion-dollar company whose success hinges on safety more than any other factor would actually lower standards for applicants who met DEI criteria. This is utter horseshit; to become a pilot, you have to meet a bare minimum number of flight hours and pass a rigorous bar of tests, regardless of what race or gender you are. To the contrary, multiple studies have shown that organizations perform better when they have a more diverse workforce. And other studies have shown that hiring managers will often turn down a more qualified applicant because that person is a minority. So, in short, DEI leads to a more qualified workforce that achieves better performance.

If the first pilot is Airman A, and the second is Airman B,what do you call the 13th pilot? >!Slim Shady!<

    6. So let’s pretend for a second that the airline has 5 qualified candidates. They choose one to hire.
You step onto the plane and never see the pilot. Do you assume there is a chance they aren’t qualified? Or is that only after you see it’s a black person after you land?

The Tuskegee Airman saved countless bombers and played a HUGE Role in the Allies winning!

    8. Fucking heros, proudly fighting for a nation that was still treating them like lesser men just because of their race.
