the problem is, all these nutjobs were content to play the “little bit is good enough for now” long game in their last-50-years power grab… and every other group was holding out for the “best one”

now they have inched their way to authoritarian theocracy

      fuck this shit

If some necromancer were to resurrect Thomas Jefferson and apprise him of current events, he would go on a murderous rampage.

    3. Ah, yes, the radical leftist teachers of…Oklahoma…a state so red, it’s literally in the name…

    4. Under Walters, who is so addicted to pornography he does not even turn it off for meetings, education in the state of Oklahoma is ranked 50th.

For those with Oklahoma educations, that means the very worst in the whole United States.

    5. Notice that they accuse the left of basically nothing, then proceed to install a far-right *chapter*, pure projection.

Toddler accusing their classmates of stealing snacks so they eat all the food.

    6. Love how Oklahoma schools seem to focus on everything EXCEPT teaching and helping students to learn. Might explain why they’re nearly last in the nation in education.

Oklahoma: The stupid state. New motto coming soon!

    7. Did you hear about that dude who bought the Trademark for Turning Point USA. Homie owns the rights to any and all TPUSA images. Hilarious.

    8. “Our children are being indoctrinated!”

“Yes – professional propaganda organizations like turning point and prageru are having nationwide programs to influence children in school and online!”

      “No, we mean the teachers.”

“The ones who have to stick to state mandated programs?”

“They are union and women and therefore far left and indoctrinating!”

If I’m not mistaken, Ryan Walters is the guy that got caught watching porn on a Zoom call with educators

    10. All the red states are competing for last place.

It’s hard to feel threatened when they are so brain rotted they could throw a rock at the ground and miss

    11. Is it any surprise at all that Oklahoma ranks 50th in schools. They literally have the worst school system in the country.

    12. hmm, racist club at a racist school led by a racist teacher in a racist state. fucking liberals, they’re why we can’t get nice things like trump bibles or teachers to come to our state. liberal fascist teachers unions!

In most high schools, students can have whatever clubs as long as they are not hateful, exclusionary, etc. and follow certain basic rules about finances and organization. Also these clubs are supposed to be student run and only guided by the staff advisor.

I don’t know why the Oklahoma state superintendent feels the need to make this top-down. Or if he wants to exempt Turning Point clubs from standards that the other clubs have to abide by. Or why existing Christian or Young Republican clubs are not sufficient for providing diversity of viewpoints. Or what he wants done when / if Turning Point clubs do not have enough students signing up to run the club at that school.

If I was a little shit in high school I’d infiltrate my local Turning Point group for fun and ruin it with empathy and questions. Stretch goal: hostile takeover diverting as many members as possible to a new woke socialist group.

    15. Someone is going to win the lottery in the next couple of days – and with just around 700,000 students in Oklahoma for just around 7-10 million bucks – it should be possible to send every single kid in Oklahoma a copy of their choice of ‘Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale’ or ‘Art Spiegelman’s Maus’ or ‘On Liberty by John Stewart Mill’ or ‘How to Save a Constitutional Democracy by Tom Ginsburg’ or ‘Hannah Arendt’s The Origins of Totalitarianism’.

    16. Can someone explain to me what exactly makes the left radical? I can’t find anything on the subject.
