      I wish to open this debate by saying that at the rate of my vanishing comments, id say the noose strangle hold is definitely tightening.

      I will add that all or most of my removed comments have been fairly sanguine and certainly not advocating voilence death or celebrating tragedy in anyway, merely comment nothing else.

      In fact last night they took away a comment criticising a fucking tv show,? What in the name of Washington is going fucking on?

      America is getting fucked in the ass, front and centre, by the extreme right wing and everyone seems (all that matter) are oblivious sat in their tubs blowing bubbles.

      Buddy, reddit is already 50% bots reposting for karma and 50% agitprop from nation states and bad actors looking to destabilize (mostly) US politics by creating and amplifying safe spaces forn the most extreme elements of the body politic.

      Reddit has been a tool of corporate influence and political disinformation for near a decade at this point because it drives engagement and engagement numbers (from doom scrolling, but also from the malicious accounts) drives ad sales.

      Well, reddit lives or dies on that issue. Being a normal human being and not an orclike monster trapped and self enslaved in an psychotic pedophile deathcult of personality is tough.

      Especially when its less censorship and more folding giddily and happily to fascism, there is no actual pressure on the companies but they do this shit voluntarily.

      I guess it’ll come down to Europe to offer alternatives and you better wise up on how to jump the great firewall that will be erected after they finally wise up.

      Now that these corporations and by proxy the CEO’s/ Managers are measuring wealth with the letter “b” not many values can withstand it.

      When holding your nose and cowtowing to a dictator can deliver generational wealth, it is hard to stand on principle.

      Honestly the way things are separating and the right are digging further and further in its not really worth it to be on reddit much any more, things are very obviously getting censored left, right and center and it isn’t what it used to be. Hell, cant even have a civil conversation on any single one of the conservative subs because you cant post unless your flared and if you do manage to post, unless its praising trump, it gets deleted before seeing the light of day.

      At this point I am not gonna pull myself in that direction of hate and what I would want to say will get me suspended or banned

      What happened – Tragic , Its a human Life and I didnt agree with what he said but he leaves a wife and kids and that in itself is sad

      If people choose to mourn – LET THEM – Dont go and scream hateful stuff while they mourn or destroy what they made cause nobody wants that.

      Be mindful of your words and actions is all – Let this situation simmer down but legally stand ground when you can

      The only thing unique about Reddit is the user base. 

      The platform isn’t the product. And Reddit doesn’t own it. 

      Migration happened before. It will again.

      Weeks or months. Reddit will absolutely bend, or worse, turn in users who are criticizing the trump regime.

      One thing I recently learned the hard way is that posting a link to a clip of Aldo Raine’s inglorious speech about the business he was in will yield a three day suspension of your account.

      A clip that has been shared thousands of times on Reddit in the past is apparently now “hate speech.”

      So, n-a-z-i ideology is now main stream thought in America, but anti-n-a-z-i rhetoric, or even links to rhetoric, is ban worthy.

      This is the new America. How y’all like it so far?

      People will leave Reddit en masse. I really like Reddit but I can very easily delete my account if the fascist take over comes this way.
