We get mad because of our own judgements plenty, but no someone else insulting us also is directly a source of emotional reaction.
You could try or manage to not react or feel insulted, but that doesn’t change the fact that you were.

This is my reaction to every insult especially here on reddit. Laugh at the mere idea that their opinion matters in the least. Alternatively just say you don’t get it and you want it explained, that works too.
