      If these people were brown there would be a line of masked up ICE waiting just outside the door.

      Every one of these farmers is wanting a handout and every one of them hires illegals to do the actual work.

      They should just pivot into a different career, maybe bootstrap farming? It sounds like there’s a shortage of bootstraps to pull themselves up by.

      The joke is good but let’s not confuse informant and under cover. Under cover is an innocent person inserted to gather intel. Informant is a *participant* who is turned intel gatherer for diminished consequences.

      This is important because if Mike Jonson wants to call Trump an Informant, he’s admitting he’s a participant.

      Having grown up in rural America this makes me sad. Seeing fellow Americans farming in a system that incentives acres in production driving the price below what would be economic. Then you have short sighted policy changes, some say purposeful, that leave them susceptible to being exploited out of their multigenerational land. Especially when it’s their false idols set to profit. Question now is will they wake up?

      Don’t forget, in republican majority controled states, they are passing laws to CRIMINALIZE homelessness and poverty. Get arrested for poverty, and good luck getting a good paying job in the future with the arrest record. Creating a permanent poverty class / wage slave.
