This excuse just runs into the teeny, tiny, insignificant little contradiction that…. Trump has been screaming for months now about how the files are fraud, written by Democrats, make him look guilty, no one should care, and the victims should shut up.
His behavior and words are completely inconsistent with his being innocent and just an informant. It IS however consistent with his being an informant because he was directly involved in raping and trafficking kids and wanted to protect himself.

The Speaker of the House is not authorized to release the names of FBI informants, so he could technically be breaking the law. Otherwise, if it were actually true, we now know Trump was an informant, so there’s no reason to redact his name.

Look they weren’t gonna release the files period, so any leaks were a democrat hoax, good cover story. But now that the victims are compiling their own list and making it public, and they can’t make them disappear, the republicans have to say Trump was an informant and he had sex with all those underaged girls to take down Epstein.
