    Fox News is barely editing their boilerplate response to school shootings these days.

      guns aren’t the root cause, but they sure are the most convenient thing to take out as many lives as possible as quickly as possible.

      Knives require you to get up close and personal, guns give you range and coverage.

      The root cause is more of a mental health and education thing, which is even harder to deal with than the availability and ease of access of guns.

      If you took every gun out of the US overnight, you’d still have people with issues finding ways to cause themselves and others harm.

      Hence why murder, even mass murder, isn’t exclusively a US problem

      edit: just to clarify (apparently needed), I’m addressing OP using “root cause” in the image.. guns aren’t the root cause. The existence of guns and ease of access isn’t inspiring people to shoot up a place, just giving them the means to do so.

      Oh God damn it. I didn’t know they were Trans. Fuck. Trans people really need to get together and have a meeting or something. This is like pure cocaine for the right. The only way it could be better for them is if they were an illegal alien trans person.

      The actual proof shows the shooter was homophobic and expressed hate for Latinos, blacks and jews. Who does that sound like?

      Not only that, based on data from the Gun Violence Archive and National Institutes of Justice, transgender individuals have perpetuated about 0.1% of mass shootings since 2016 (out of 3,561), compared to ~1.6% of the U.S. population. This indicates a lower rate per capita than non-trans people.

      Then you look at the constant bullying and denied rights of these people, lack of mental illness funding for anyone, etc., you get this.
