A 3,500-year-old jar has been accidentally smashed
into pieces by a four-year-old boy.
The Hecht Museum in Haifa, Israel, told the BBC the
crockery dated back to the Bronze Age between 2200
and 1500BC – and was a rare artefact because it was
    so intact.
It had been on display near the entrance of the
museum without glass, as the museum believes there
is "special charm" in showing archaeological finds
    "without obstructions"

    1. I feel like if your artefact can get smashed by a four year old, then you’re probably displaying your artefacts wrong

Yeah that works in children’s museum! But how dumb and careless can these museum personnel be?!

That event happened 11 months ago

The boy’s family was no changed and were even invited to return if they wish

The broken jar was put back together and was returned to display after 2 weeks

If an artifact that old displayed at the entrance can be easily knocked over by a 4 year old I feel like they should’ve displayed it/secured it better
