Vikings have been often depicted as wild savages, but now Denmark’s National Museum comes out with this small ivory figurine carved from walrus tusk. It’s a head and torso depiction of a bloke sporting an imperial moustache, beard braided, hair cut clean that makes it seem he just stepped out of a 19th century French barber shop! It has been tucked away in the museum’s archive since 1796. It is believed this could be King Harald Bluetooth himself. He’s smiling and looks like he’s been telling a joke!
