    1. The only one of these things that might be true is the Russia one.

We have literal decades of proof that they never believed the shit they spout. It’s all always been bullshit they *say* to pretend to be morally upstanding and fiscally responsible.

The right has always and only ever been about one thing: their ‘tribe’ in power. Say and do anything to get there.

    3. Republicans have never believed in any principle except that Republicans are always right and should be in charge.

    4. Don’t forget that they used to think pedophilia is bad! I literally have an uncle who is now doing mental gymnastics to justify how fucking kids is OK now because Trump does it. Meanwhile, just a few years ago he was screaming about pizzagate and Epstein.

There is no depth they won’t sink to, just so they don’t have to admit they got taken by the worst con artist in history.

    5. Republicans never believed in any of this. I’m so tired of this lie. Google the five most liberal countries in the world. Now Google the five most conservative. Which ones do you think have more freedom? Which have more freedom of speech? Which ones tell you you’re only allowed to marry who big government tells you that you can (Adam and Steve anyone)?

Conservatives have always believed in super large, big brother government and since 1980 have always believed in gigantic deficits.

    6. Stop romanticizing what republicans used to be. What they are now is what they’ve been working to become for decades.

Emphasis on the capitalism, that was the one thing they screamed until the US got control of Intel

    8. TBF, they do believe in those things, they’re just willing to trade them for throwing non-whites out of the US.

      Disagree!

They had thrown all of those principles overboard by Y2K, except for two:

      1. Russia is America’s enemy
      2. Capitalism

And then around 2004 Dubya “looked into Putin’s eyes and saw his soul.” 🤢 Cross off number 1.

The only holdout has been capitalism. They’re working on replacing that this year with fascism, neofeudalism, whatever you want to call it.

“States’ rights” was always a lie, coded language to dog-whistle about segregation.

Trump is a symptom, not the disease.

    10. When I was little (1960s/1970s), and I would play at the homes of my friends, I was always struck by their home environment. Their families were usually middle-class, republican, educated and nice. They owned nice homes, drove nice cars, went to church on Sundays… they were always friendly and kind to me. I knew that I was always safe in their presence. My family was poor. I was fourth generation American, of Mexican descent. I don’t know what point I’m trying to make, but that’s what I thought Republicans were like. They used to be, anyway.

Republicans adopted contrarianism before Trump, then went full sycophant for perhaps the most well documented liar in human history.
