Amazing how vivid the color still is
Some patrician’s savings, no doubt.
How is Italy’s laws around finding artefacts like this? If I found this I’d definitely grab like 50, then report the finding after. Should keep the government well pleased. Maybe hold on to the gold for a few years before doing anything with it though.
So that’s where I left those!
The real question here is how many coins were there before versus after the picture was taken.
