A necklace dating back to approximately 1000 BCE, composed of 168 bronze rings and 4 pendants. The pendants are interpreted as a local variation of the Egyptian ankh symbol – the symbol of life. The necklace was found at Wasserburg Buchau, situated on the Federsee lake, Germany [1468×2000]

Just out of curiosity, what is the source and rationale claiming the pendants are to be interpreted as ankhs? Seems a bit of a stretch, unless there is some solid evidence behind this?
