The “Bull’s Head Bowl” comes from the largest known gold hoard of the early Middle Ages, discovered by chance in 1799 in the town of Nagyszentmiklós (Sânnicolau Mare), then part of Hungary but now part of Romania in the Banat region. 7-9th century AD [1203×977]
