The funny thing is that, aside from the exaggeration, this accurately predicts fashion trends as they continued through the 20th and 21st centuries. The continuing shift towards less and less outfit complexity, trending towards the simplistic which has thus far resulted in most people just wearing T-shirts and pants/shorts, which in 1905 would’ve probably been classed as underwear.

    2. Ok but that dress is actually kinda really cute. They inadvertently prophesized visible tattoos becoming normalized too?

    3. Those tattoos are more interesting and aesthetic than 99% of people’s tattoos I’ve seen.

    4. They should have made that 2020; it looks like a hot day in Tampa with all the local circus freaks.

Guess the fashionistas of 1914 were onto something! Beach flair, here we come – wacky and all!

    6. Well… They kinda got it right? Except this kind of fashion still isn’t considered standard or good-to-go to any decent place. Mostly.

I wonder what they would think seeing so many people running around in goddamn pajamas these days.

    8. I mean… yeah, men’s fashion is basically non-existent, just not that kind of non-existent.

    9. Its absolutely hilarious how people in 1914 couldn’t imagine getting rid of canes and dress hats.

    10. I live beside a university in the downtown core of a major city. I’ve seen shit weirder than this. I’m also old, so maybe it’s just me.

Wow, that’s actually like the 1980’s – covered in tattoos and not much else while laughing at old times.
