It’s so cute! I bet that’s why they did it.
Everyone seems to forget about people making art just for the hell of it. I’m pretty sure humans have done it forever.
I’m guessing they made it because it’s a turtle…
Gonna take a wild guess and be like every archeologist and say it was maybe a carving of a god, probably did like chanting and human sacrifice.
Honestly, I think it’s a cute turtle and someone did it one day because they were bored.
