Despite being called Old Croghan Man, the remains are those of a man believed to have actually been only in his early 20s when he was killed sometime between the mid-4th century BC and the late 2nd century BC. A stab wound in his chest may be the cause of death, while arm injuries indicate that he may have tried to defend himself. His nipples had been mutilated around the time of his death, a common feature of many bog bodies. The only artifact found with the body was a decorated leather band still on his left arm. His manicured hands may indicate that he was of high status.
Old Croghan Man is on display at the National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology in Dublin.

So fascinating
Interesting but not an artefact.
Lol at the bog body nipple mutilation
So did he lose the rest of his torso perimortem or did he get run over by a plow at some point?
Is he okay?
