One of my girl friend (not girlfriend) once told me something that I’ve never been able to forget. It still echoes in my heart whenever life gets tough:

“You’re really good,—very kind, a very sweet soul.
Stay the same no matter what happens.
Don’t let the dirt of the world make you dirty.
You’re pure like an oyster in a sea shell.
If you’re a good person, someone out there will see the good in you.
And only a true jeweler can recognize the value of a real diamond.”
