I do like this sentiment. But also, as a gentle note to some folks out there: sometimes you really *don’t* have the power over your own mind. I’ve been there too many times and caused immeasurable harm to myself, wanting to believe it. So, some other things to note:
Those thoughts about how you are unworthy or total crap or whatever? You didn’t put those there. Don’t let them tell you what you’re worth.
If you wouldn’t accept someone’s advice, you shouldn’t be accepting their criticisms.
Your ideal self is a myth. It’s an aspiration, not a goal. Focusing on one small step at a time is the only way you can see yourself on a trajectory that points to that aspiration.
Do what you can, fill your own cup, and leave comparisons to others’ lives at the door. You’re worthy. Love yourself today.
