saw a link to a colorized(ugh) version of this 1936 sci-fi film in /r/fullmoviesonyouetube . i’d never watched it but it was on my “i should watch” list, so found a B&W version.
it has some very cool old school retro-futurism. granted it’s a pretty old film, so it’s “quirky” but i thought it was decent given the time and there’s a fair amount of neat designs and sets in the end, starting around 1:04 when they start building the “city of tomorrow” in the far future of 2036(lol). if you wanna just see that stuff, you’ll miss some retro futuristic tanks and planes, but not a lot. enjoy!
