I need this as a poster, I love this. I want a music robot friend, he could record guitar loops for me so I can riff. I know I can already do that, but I suck at recording loops.

Would they have called him an automaton or was “robot” a common term by then?
It’s interesting, cause usually the thing portrayed as inferior in these ads ends up replacing the original. Very much was not the case with pit orchestras for theatre.
