Marble relief of the hoplitodromos, from Athens. ca. 500 BCE. The relief depicts a nude youth wearing a helmet and running in the race in heavy armour. The traces on the slab and the details of the relief decoration reveal that it is a grave relief. National Archaeological Museum of Athens [449×650]
