
Roman Theatre of Cartagena in Spain, 1991 vs 2021. Surprisingly given its size and architecture, it remained hidden for centuries as we didn’t know of it until 1988. This is explained because it is situated in an area of the city that has been continuously occupied in the last 2 millennia [700×2163]

Do they use it for its original purpose? Or too delicate at this point to pack in a crowd for a tragedy?
This is more like wanting to see a Roman artifact there than archaeology. I see an inordinate amount of newly added stone. Is that a church ruin in the upper right corner?
