The multicursal mazes by Italian engineer Giovanni Fontana; they are considered by some the earliest surviving of their kind. Drawn in 1420 ca & included in his Bellicorum instrumentorum liber [BSB Cod. Icon. 242, f.9v-10r], are accompanied by an encrypted script in latin, deciphered [1545 x 1062]
