Someone who is 18 is legal by a day. If you’re 25+ messing with an 18 yr old you don’t care about their maturity you was just waiting for Johnny law to get off your back.

Nope. I am meeting immature 30 somthings and scaryly mature 18 year olds and anything in between on a daily basis. 18 is a good age to assume adequate maturity to partake in adult life, and anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt.

No. I say this as a 23 year old. There’s a clear separator for what an adult is and what a child is. If I assaulted someone at 18 I would be treated as an adult not a child. I can rent an apartment or buy a house at 18. Just because people want to infantilize young adults doesn’t mean that they’re right to do it. An adult is an adult plain and simple. If not then what should the legal age for an adult be? We can’t keep moving the goalposts of what an adult is just because it makes some people uncomfortable.

Yup, I’m in my early 30’s and while I respect them as adults, actively chasing romantically is a hell no. 25 would be my cut off, beyond that it just feels like it would be really awkward.
