Now, now… this country, right and left alike, has eroded the right to trial and abandoned the right to a speedy trial. This country, right and left alike, has agreed to put its thumb on the scale with each and every defendant. Double jeopardy isn’t forbidden, it’s, well, I actually don’t know how common it is, but common enough to have been ruled on by SCOTUS more than once. Our leaders, left and right alike, have made the constitution into a joke and a pack of lies. If Trump burns it he’ll just be pushing the boundaries a little bit. It won’t be any dramatic change.
