A remarkably well-preserved Roman sarcophagus has been discovered in Budapest. The sarcophagus was found with its stone lid still fixed in place, secured by metal clamps and molten lead. When archaeologists lifted the lid, they found a complete skeleton surrounded by dozens of artifacts. [1440×958]November 25, 2025
