    1. So, this to me looks completely normal. But, I am 57, and in 1996 I was 27, so this is probably around the last time I was at a club.

What’s different now? (Aside from the music)

    2. My first thought on seeing this was “a lot of these folks are probably grandparents.” Lol

Hung out at a Nightclub in Portland Maine ZOOTZ 1996-2000 it closed Dec 2000, dance floor was ALWAYS lively and crazy welcoming, 100% a 50/50 club and everyone got along.

It was so good they are STILL having reunions lol

No Lie it was kind of a gross seedy hole in the wall club, where only the best dancers gathered.

Inside Joke – *We danced so hard because to stand still meant risking your shoes to the goo goo muck*

Miss Zootz so much best days of my life.

It’s kind of funny that people are coming around to viewing this era with nostalgia. I grew up in the 90’s. It wasn’t that special, lol.

Yea that’s dope, but not as much has changed as some of the commenters think. I’m 23 right now in a major city and go out pretty frequently.

The main difference is that dance moves are a bit more “jumpy” and less flowy, and everyone typically faces the DJ.

Besides that people saying “life before phones” are kinda being a doomers. Yes people take videos at the club, but it’s nothing like concerts, where the phones criticism is valid.

But every place I go to regularly the dance floor has more similarities than differences to these videos.

This is what 1996 looked like, but we would have been listening to something stupid like 69 Boyz or La Bouche.

    9. My immediate thought at the first 2 girls: aww Tifa and Aerith are dancing together.

Hey, anyone born after 1990: This is called dancing. I have no idea what y’all call standing in one spot while slowly moving up and down, holding one hand above your head as you flick your wrist in time to the beat, while holding your beer with the other hand.
