I wonder if this is how (most) clocks would work if the sundial had been invented in the southern hemisphere

When I was a student in high school the coffeeshop opposite my school had one of these. When I was there the first time I just looked at the hands of the clock, not at the numbers. I was much too late for the next class because I didn’t notice at first. But it’s a really funny gimmick.

    3. Hold on I’ll be back when I come up with a funny joke about a doctor getting confused about clockwise/counterclockwise in the middle of doctoring

Haven’t seen one of these myself, only pictures.

Once thing I’ve seen was a clock on a 12h40′ cycle. For the tides.

    5. My ex decided to get one of these as the main clock in the living room. It took me months to get used to it, but then even longer to unlearn it and get used to a normal clock again. Every other clock at home and work was digital.

    6. I was able to open my cheap Ikea wall clock and reverse the little U shaped piece and coil in the electrics (various YouTube channels show how) to get the clock started going in the opposite direction. I then scanned the cardboard insert with the numbers and printed it in reverse so the numbers were displayed backwards too. It was worth quite a few laughs with guests.

So fun and easy DIY project.

    7. Would be funny if this was a plastic surgeon or dermatologist, turning back in time and all that.

    8. My dad installed one over the toilet so he could see the time while taking a dump. “Yup, 5 more minutes with the paper, good”

    9. Doctor: “Draw the clock.”
      *draws clock*
Doctor: “WRONG Dementia boy!!!!! That’s what the clock looks like!” *points to wall*

    10. My Algebra 2 teacher had one like this that he’d hang on the wall during third quarter when he taught Trig, but noon was at the 3:00 position and all the markings were in notations you’d know if you payed attention in class

    11. One of my teachers in high school had a clock in her room that had all the numbers in a completely random order. She called it her dyslexic clock. I loved that thing. You could still tell what time it was by the positions of the hands and knowing what number is actually supposed to be in that spot.
Actually I kinda want to buy one now. Going to give the internet a search.

Edit: Found one. It was pretty similar to [this](https://www.redbubble.com/i/clock/Alphabetical-Order-Clock-Cool-and-Quirky-Gag-Gift-by-Framerkat/166109145/l4nc) from what I remember.

I genuinely can’t process how you’re supposed to read this

      Do the hands spin backwards?

Oh it’s British! They sure mean business using the left side. First it’s their streets now their clocks! 😍

this tickles a piece of my neurodivergent brain that makes me both uncomfortable and giddy.

    15. I want a clock that goes the normal direction, but with one at the top, two where one normally is, etc.
