What if we required detailed explanations as to why our elected representatives vote the way they do, tho even as I write that and think about how those morons act in court when they are asked under penalty of law to answer a question, I know it wouldn’t even matter. What we really need is some bleeding edge tech that scans the brain and shows EXACTLY how they are thinking! I’m sure there would be “privacy” advocates that would argue that people have a right to their own thoughts, but elected officials should be treated with complete transparency, and let’s not forget how completely monitored our lives are by cameras such as the ones in our phones and quit acting like our privacy as “regular” people isn’t completely disrespected these days
