We have a cat at home.
You need to be brushing her before it gets matted. They use their fur to regulate their body temperature and it can also cause psychological distress for the cat to be shaved.

Bro, how? I had a cat start getting dreads like this, and they were impossible to remove. Combs, brushes, clippers, scissors, the hair was impervious. I mean, scissors could work, but the margin between hair and skin was way too small for my comfort.
“leftovers” is a unique way to put it.
Glue it down onto some heavy posterboard, frame it.
When I was a teenager I worked at KFC and we used to build a chicken out of the pieces lol
There a bit of dander in there a warm soak could help.
