An odd dream recorded by a Greek boy named Apollonius. He says in his dream: ”I am walking with a woman called Tawe, who is a virgin. I told her: ‘Tawe, is your heart troubled because I seduced you?’ She replies, ‘It happens that Thotortais & my sister are mad with me as I’m a whore’. [800X1370]

The papyrus above includes multiple dreams & prophecies, among a massive collection of papyri known as the Archive of Ptolemaios.

It belongs to a Greek man named Ptolemaios, son of Glaukias, and his younger adolescent brother Apollonios. Their papyri consists of prophecies, dreams and attempted murder involving two adolescent Egyptian twins Tawê and Taous.

His brother Apollonius and one of the Egyptian twins would develop feelings for one another, but his status as a Greek boy, to the Egyptian virgin priestess would cause a scandal. The odd dream is rather a nightmare in which he ruined the reputation of the girl he loved, making her two sisters call her explicit names, because of her inappropriate relationship with a Greek boy.

The entire story is well-recorded because of the collection that was found, but it’s too long to write here.
