Upgraded, third-party car stereos in a mid-60s/early 70s muscle car ten years later after they were made and when you were a teenager buying what was previously someone else’s hot rod was a thing back then. Like a really big thing.

    3. Back then it was Blaupunkt audio or nothing to be cutting edge audio in the car.

    4. I went to a Circuit City and the salesman blasted the stereo so loud that I have tinnitus in one ear to this day.

    5. I sold the car cassette/8 Track and speaker sets at Zayre back in the mid-70’s. I also ran the record and tape section.

      I wasn’t a pretty girl. I was a not handsome guy.

      Beautiful!

Is that a wide black belt or did your mom have to work in the warehouse, too?

    7. Yes, I’ll take the Alpine, DIN mounted CD changer Preamp, and a Zapco parametric equalizer. I’ll need three Pyramid 500 watt stereo amplifiers, and two Rockford Fosgste 1000w monoblocks. Better give me a Hifonics preamp crossover, and two 40Hz high power-low pass filters, while you’re at it. I’ll need two 18” Cerwin-Vega – long excursion subwoofers, four pioneer tri-axial 6×9 speakers and a pair of infinity ribbon tweeters

      Do you take a check?

    8. Blaupunkt,Kenwood or Alpine were the ones to have where I grew up! And obviously Rockford Fosgate subs and Punch amps
