As a Muslim and also a RWBY fan (former), I gotta clarify that you are not completely wrong. But the thing that the Ash’aris disagree with are about using logic. Both believe in the primacy of revelation but the Ash’aris are the ones who insist on using the discipline of logic “mantiq” to prove the validity if revelation. Whereas the Athari think that no, you don’t need to use logic to make prove the truth, just follow the Quran and Hadith and that’s it
