He just lies through his teeth knowing their cult will just accept it and those that point out it is a lie will be ignored.

    2. When you don’t know how anything works, everything is a conspiracy.

Nah let them propogate this misinfo so that people stupid enough to believe such a lie go ahead and apply for SNAP with fraudulent information the USDA LOVES liars

    4. Hey so that’s an extremely obvious lie. Any outlet who repeats that without pointing out that it’s just plainly a lie should never be trusted.

    5. ElectricGhostMan on

Man I hate when the priority is to feed potentially hungry kids first and then follow up with the person who registered with their traceable information after.

    6. ViolettaQueso on

      What a liar!!!

He wants everyone to believe that when somebody applies, they haven’t filled out all the paperwork with your paystubs, exhaustive list and personal info of everyone who lives where you do and what they make, what your family expenses are, your bank info, and you have a trained person in charge of, that interviews you and the intake documents before a decision is made.

And they constantly audit you. You are bound by law to report any and all changes to living and financial situation, and they know, re-audit, terminate or reduce and go after all overpayments even years later.

    7. Thamnophis660 on

That’s not even true though. As a guy who has filled our SNAP applications, just no.

    8. Neptune7924 on

That’s an absolute and utter lie. The application process is thorough and includes an in-person or phone interview.

    9. Jthe1andOnly on

Yeah definitely not true and if you make too much to qualify you won’t get them either. They check both. SSN for children and Current pay stubs, if you are working. Both things are verifiable. This mfr works for the government and acts like this information isn’t easily accessible to verify. He probably never looked it up himself, or he just straight up lies knowing people will believe it, or doesn’t care either way.

Sitting next to a dude who literally wrote a book on how he grew up on food stamps.

    11. Sufficient-Opposite3 on

They’ll never stop. They just need to go away and we can all try to repair this country after they leave.

    12. The IRS verify people income and taxes. What is so hard to understand? People dont even get that much in food stamp anyways. How about funding the IRS correctly and close down tax loophole?

What is this guy’s fucking problem?
Honestly, he just seems to hate everything and everyone

Stephen Miller definitely has at least three pieces of furniture at his house made out of human skin.

    15. BraveLittleTowster on

What sucks is he doesn’t believe this is true.

Food stamps require a ton of income verification to get, then you have ongoing income verification. The leniency in Indiana is $20, so if you make $19 more than you’re allowed to, they won’t cut off your benefits if you can explain why you made that $19 and assure the state it won’t happen again.

If you make $20, you lose your entire benefit and have to requalify.

I just helped a friend get Snap in a very blue State. It was not easy at all.

    17. My family experienced some financial tightness, and we applied for food stamps. After finishing applying, I was gathering all of the material for verification, and the office called me within the hour to basically say they got the application but not to worry about gathering the other info because we made too much money. He apologized, but there was nothing they could do. So the idea that they’re just giving this stuff away because you ask for it is a joke. Their lies are despicable, and our media is complicit.

    18. AngryBlackNerd on

Even if this bullshit was true – IT IS NOT – I would not give a fuck. I will never understand the logic that a few people might take advantage of something so we should just not allow it for the people who need it.

We’ve wasted trillions of dollars on foreign wars over the last three decades. I don’t give a fuck about this.

But let me stress, this is not true.

    19. nate-the__great on

As someone who had food stamps and lost them 3 months before I got a job this last year thanks to Trumps fucking bullshit, this really makes me angry.

Republicans have been demonizing social safety nets for a long time but this is the closest they’ve ever been to ending them even though their constituents rely on it a lot more.

    21. friendlyfiend07 on

I am friends with someone who lost a months benefits because she got a half hour of overtime on a single check. There should be a point at which lies get you arrested on the spot.

    22. Elegant_Potential917 on

Jesus. SNAP isn’t delivered via check. Recipients get a debit card that can only be used at certain stores for certain things.

    23. Equal-Prior-4765 on

That’s not how it works, thats not how any of it works. This muthafuka never even seen the inside of family services

    24. teleheaddawgfan on

Motherfucker, you’re trying to hand out $1.5B to J6 criminals but SNAP benefits are out of the question?

    25. waterbuffahoe on

As someone who works for a federal food assistance program, this is just a blatant fucking lie

    26. ![gif](giphy|1APhNxj9slv0RdgHlL)

Having been on SNAP…you have to give them Name, Birth Certificate and SS# for Every Person you’re including in the Application..give them Copies of your Bank Records (ALL Accounts) and copies of your Utility Bills, Rent/Mortgage payments.

And the kicker….you’ve got to do this No Less than Twice a Year.

As someone IN Our Government, Miller SHOULD Know this information…so he’s Either Extremely Incompetent, or he’s Knowingly Lying. Or BOTH.
