The shell was more embedded into the carrot, i noticed something white and after rinsing the carrot, it was still there so i dug it out. Tiniest shell i have ever seen! The bag of carrots was PC brand purchased at a Loblaws store (I’m in Ontario, Canada).

During the Carrotinous Era, all carrots swam in the sea but when food became scarce, they began to take root on land. Sorry if you already knew this.

    3. I recognize that snail. I’m on vacation, so I don’t have my ID books with me, but I’ll see if I can get a name. Something in Nassariidae, I think.

My guess would be the farm used some marine compost made of seaweed, and that little snail was a hitchhiker.

Carrots are grown in sandy soil, which offers less resistance so the carrot grows straight. Perhaps the farm incorporated more sand and it had a shell in?

Did you perchance receive a million dollars with a specific caveat sometime ago?
