Technically, the partition of Poland killed Poland. However, and that is something I say with respect, Poland somehow returned…

Would be boring without Kurwa and Ja Pierdole!

As a german, I have to give it to them, they’re quite the metal country and the people is wonderful.

Just respect their strong sense of boundaries and everything will be ok

    3. I’m pretty sure Bohemia never sought to destroy Poland though? Their king once had a claim on the Polish throne but that would only dethrone the Piasts on Poland and make someone else leader of the kingdom, not erase the Polish Kingdom or something even close to that.

Maybe they should’ve constantly tried to invade everyone around them if they didn’t want to be invaded themselves?

    5. The Holy Roman Empire was never interested in destroying Poland, only curbing its spread.

Shoutout to Poland. Pierogis are good and they make some of the best video games.

    8. Oh fuck off, 80% of those 1000 years the poles where the bullies strong arming neighbouring smaller countries

I’m pretty sure that, except for the last 3 on the list, the rest pretty much didn’t care about “erasing” them. For most of history, conquering has been done in order to control the land.

Sure, sometimes you’d oppress a certain group of people if they resisted. But, more often than not, people were allowed to keep their culture, social structure, language and even religion as long as they complied with taxes, manpower and didn’t revolt too much.
