I call myself a Christian, but I actually studied the Bible, and learned about the man who was Jesus in addition to the son of God. I was always fascinated by Revelations, but in order for that to happen, Christianity has to be a minority.
Growing up in the 90’s I never thought that to be possible with so much Christianity around the world. Now…I think it will be Xtians like this who drive Christianity into that minority.
I think the fall of this admin, and the collateral is going to be dramatic and spectacular. It is also going to cause a rebound effect on major religions. Most of the people supporting this movement are going to sacrifice their salvation and end up in hell.
Either way, as someone who calls them self a christian I don’t align myself with a single one of these ideas.
My American wish list involves people like Dale shutting the fuck up.
The thing is, this isn’t even feasible amongst Christians. They’ll immediately start fighting amongst themselves. You think they’ll allow non-Mormons to attend Mormon schools? You think evangelicals would allow a catholic to be their representative?
The founding fathers didn’t apply separation of church and state just for their lofty ideals. It’s because in their time, Europe had spent 2-300 years destroying itself in religious wars. They knew that applying one religion would immediately cause conflict and went, “*You know what? No one gets to have it. The government is neutral, you’re free to worship however you want”.*
It’s pragmatic as well as idealistic.

My American Wish List
– A competent president who puts all Americans in view.
– Impartial supreme Court justices that put JUSTICE first.
– Agreed…
– Let medical decisions be made by a doctor and their patient up to and including end of life services.
– Expand protections for those marginalized by others.
– Include an aptitude test that includes a polygraph and basic understandings of the USA government for all positions of power.
– Expand the 24th and give clear guidelines for removing a President.
– Set up system so adult content may only be used by adults (we already have this with ID verify, I know it’s not great)
– Build a cleaner path for immigration and improve the system for visitors to extend their stay if needed.
– Put clear and concise language in a new amendment that makes in no uncertain terms the separation of church and state.
– Also, create new gun and ammo laws to reduce the number of shootings in the USA.

The American Taliban
I think it’s an interesting thought experiment to imagine what the US would be like if these people actually got what they claim to want. Because you know they wouldn’t be happy. They need something to constantly complain about and a group of people to demonize. Their whole ideology is built on the illusion of being suppressed. Take that away and they’d just turn on each other and self implode. Either that or it would be the most boring and bland country on earth.
After 9/11 there was so much hate for Islam from the Republicans in America. They ranted and raved about how they control their entire country with their religion. “They don’t even let women drive or go to school! They control who gets elected and they have complete control over everything!” They would say stuff like this all the time as an excuse for “bringing them democracy and freedom”.
But I think what happened is they actually saw what that kind of religious power looks like and they got jealous. They want that kind of power. So now they are trying to make it happen here in America and many other places.
They want religious authority to silence their opponents and to take total control. They have a plan to make it happen and they are working tirelessly to achieve it. They will stop at nothing to realize their goal. They do not care why they hurt or what laws they break. They do not fear accountability.

I think the biggest telling thing here is literally no normal voter supports our relationship with israel. It’s entirely projected from the elite at this point. If they were a little less arrogant they would let Israel go for a while. Eventually, liberals and conservatives will decide to work together on the one issue they agree on and the elite will be counted with the enemy. They forget that these fractures and fissions in the Lower class they created exist within the spheres of individual families and multigenerational communities. They dont realize even if they get us to fight our brothers, the only thing greater then conquering your brother is welcoming them back. Thry can’t fathom that when we fight, it’s about what’s best for us all. Inevitably we are about coming together by any means.
The prodigal parable is a powerful one that greatly predates anything devised but the ruling elites today. They think its easy to separate us from our very humanity. They can make things bleak for us, but they can’t end what thousands of years of human flourishing took to create. Resistance can be defeated, but the ground that it sprung from only grows more fertile with each fallen. Its a system that exists in us that they cannot break. We should all fear the recoil.
